(for Christopher Horak aged 2 months and a few days)

 

Toothless, dribbles,
sputters, sucks, and grins.

The fluid dance of wonder crosses
the front of the small head.

The small body shakes, cries, laughs, sleeps, waits.

Filling up.
It takes years to fill.

This little man hypnotizes me.
I had thought myself past full.
But he has told me there is more.
