Stephen Leacock House - Photo Album by William J. Gibson

Stephen Leacock (1869-1944) one of Canada's greatest writers, was also a professor at McGill University in Montreal. He wrote numerous short stories and novels. "The Sinking of the Mariposa Belle" is a classic comic tale. The house shown in these photos was his summer residence in Orillia in the later years of his life. It is situated on a beautiful lake side shore.
