Lake N.
This evening, this sky is clear gift.
How my eyes in low light always lift.
The water waits, dark silver, smooth
to my hungry paddle as it scoops.
My heart floats in God's health.
My hands keep making cool cups
which hold my eye, my thirsting mouth
in each shrinking mirror, God's wealth
of what makes me and what's left.
