Barrie - memorial statueIf I recollect correctly, Barrie, Ontario, is the fastest growing city in Canada. Located about 1 hour north of Toronto on Highway 400 it is a bustling town. Although there is a large shopping zone at the highway south of town at Molson Park, where a new store seems to pop up overnight and on a fast week over lunch, I like to go downtown. I did that yesterday to get a haircut and to browse in the shops. Photographically what caught my eye was the war memorial, next to the large Christmas tree.
