Photo Rich Huronia MAV Magazine June 2000 by William J. Gibson

"Huronia" is a historic term that refers to the area of central Ontario where the Huron tribes (Wendat or Ouendat) lived until the catastrophic war with the Iroquois in the 1640s. The Penetanguishene and Midland area of Huronia offer many photographic opportunities, both historic and natural beauty.

Thanks to Mark T. Woodland, editor of MAV Magazine, devoted to photographers who use the Sony Mavica line of digital cameras. This is one of the best online magazines I have encountered. Lots of information on digital photography and many wonderful photographs from around the world.
